Have a de'light'ful day

Posted by Picasa

Good morning all. Hope you had a good weekend. Isn't it hot ? Not that I'm complaining. Just thought I would post the chandelier card that I made at my Kent meeting last Tuesday. The stamp is a freebie from Card Stamper mag and the papers are Papermania. When I got these papers home I wondered how I'd used them , but the pad is very depleted now !

As Little Claires Challenge #10 is 'pink and brown', I'd like to enter this card.

Better late than never

Well, after all the excitement of birthdays, fathers day and blogaversarys I clean forgot to post my layout from the Eclectic Keepsakes monthly crop.

Mel came in from A Trip Down Memory Lane and we used papers from cratepaper.com, Emmas Shoppe. As you can see they had a lovely vintage feel. My favourite discovery of the day was the Martha Stewart embossing button punch (used on the page). I had great fun with this and must get one !

The picture I used was one of my great grandmother. I do remember her vaguely, and found this photograph a rather strange composition and setting for the time that it was taken.

Off today to see my Kent Lady crafters, so hopefully more goodies to post.

Have a good day.

Welcome to the Blog Hop !

Hello to those who have hopped from Angela's english romantic blog, any of my folowers or random viewers.

Today we are celebrating Sandies Blogaversary . One whole year !! Congratulations Sandie, I haven't been with you all the way, but since I started following all the posts have been interesting and often thought provoking. If you have missed the first few hops please go to Sandies blog, itchifingers to start from the top.

So in the spirit of celebration I would like to share with you my latest crafting masterpiece !!

This is a card made especially for my beloved sis who reached a milestone birthday on Friday 17th. I wanted it to be girly and a bit special. I always admire these styles of cards but because my style is fairy minimalistic, it really to a lot of effort to add all the bits and pieces..my head kept saying enough !! But I stuck with it and even the day after I finished it I went back and added some more.

In the end it turned out as I hoped and Julie loved it !

I have used a lili of the valley topper, papers from the Papermania collection, Blueberry Hill and various flowers and bling too numerous to mention.
I do apologise for my poor photography- I'll have to get some lessons from Sandie, but would love you to leave a comment.

I will send you on now to at Karen at Tales from the Scrapheap, but before you go pick up an 'E' from me.

Happy Bloghopping

I've put it somewhere safe.........

Hello

Attended Eclectic Keepsakes monthly crop on Saturday and had a good day as usual wih nothing to do but craft !!!

I half finished lots of things (you know how it is you never pack everthing you need), and did manage to finish them off at home yesterday. Only problem is that I can't find the lead to download the photos...

So have taken a picture of the card I did finish on my mobile phone to show you until I find that pesky lead.

I used a pre-printed lili of the valley image and some nit wit collections papers that came free with a magazine. Not my usual colour scheme, but a simple card that came together easily.

Now where's that lead......
