Tuesday found me in Kent with my group of crafters.
We have been meeting since 2005. Doesn't time fly when you're enjoying yourself!
We started as a group of 3 and there are now 8 of us. Jean is our wonderful hostess with a fab big craft room. These ladies have seen me through some bad times for which I shall be eternally grateful and we all try to look after one another.
As such Birthdays are a very special day and we all can't wait to see the cards we have made for each other.
First up was Vicky's
Jenny's card
We all loved the sentiment on the card, and Jenny bought this stamp for Trudy's birthday, so we all had a go !!
Joan's fan card
This was a work of art with so much detail, the photo doesn't do it justice.
Jean's card
Fabulous stamping as usual, as is Hilda's card
Lots of Tim Holtz stuff going on here. My card for Trudy is the butterfly one on one of my previous posts.
Thanks to Hilda for a lovely lunch and Jenny as always for supplying the cake.
Happy Birthday Trudy

Crop Day
Well the 48 hour virus turned into an 8 day one on and off. Felt really grotty last week, but luckily I was well enough to attend the Eclectic Keepsakes monthly crop on Saturday. Another great day as usual..so nice to meet up with like minded souls and see other people do their thing. Also it encourages me to scrapbook which I don't do enough of.
I firstly had to finish a card for my niece.
And, as I try to do nowadays, I made another as a spare.
These cards were made with Papermania Chatsworth Vintage Collection papers and the fab silhouttes are from Die Cut Genie.
After lunch we had a class with Karen using some My Minds Eye, Lime Twist papers. I certainly had fun with it and the finished product is here for all to see.
Using some of the remaining papers I also made this card. I do find it quite challenging to use papers I havent personally picked but its always good to step outside your comfort zone.
Lastly please accept my apologies for a somewhat scrappy post, and not very good photos. I am now charging around like a madwoman trying to catch up with work, but wanted to get this post on before it was too late. I will do better next time :)

Last couple of cards
Final few cards that I finished off today. Both of these I stamped over my fab crafty Easter weekend and today managed to transform them into cards. First one is "Fruit of the Spirirt is Love "..little bit out there but a nice stamp ,used with Basic Greys Scarlett Letter papers, another of my favorites (Thanks Mum x ) Have entered this card into the scrappy frogs challenge , anything goes.
The second one is totally different, "cat hanging in a bra " all fun, frilly and girly.
Thats all for now, back to the slog tomorrow, but be back asap.

And now for something completely different
Moving on now to my grandsons birthday card,I wanted something colourful for my special little man.
Used Metropolis range of Scenic route double sided paper and free Molly Bloom stamps coloured with promarkers.I am entering this into the Card Makin Mamas "someone you love challenge"
Having one last lazy crafting day before I have to put it all away and go back to work tomorrow :(. Maybe some more creations later.

Last of the butterflies...
After making a few more butterfly cards in different colourways, I noticed the little claire weekly challenge. As the butterfly stamp I have been using is by little claire I thought I must enter. As it is a sketch challenge I had to re-work it a little but was pleased with the result.
Now enough butterflies already !
