Quick and Easy

Just to show you a card I made for my sons girlfriend's birthday.

I was very pushed for time and made it from a Kanban die cut sheet, 'Birds in the sewing room '. Add a couple of flowers, some pretty Prima paper (Annalee) and its done !

As a gift for Emma I also decorated a little wooden box..

It started like this

And ended ike this

As you can see I used those Prima Alla papers again.. will put them away now and try to use something else !

Have a good weekend

Happy Birthday Hilda

At last I can show you some birthday cards I have made recently, now that they have been safely delivered to the receipients

The Swanley Scissor Sisters had a special meeting for Hildas birthday last week. A special birthday for a special lady.

I have told Hilda for ages to get her own blog, and because I was too slow !!! getting all her beautiful birthday cards onto my blog she has finally started her own. Pop on over to Hildas blog to have a look.

This is the card I made for her, a variation on a few I have made recently, but I do like them.

I used my favourite prima paper pad of the moment, Alla and a Tim Hotz die cut. The ticket stamps are from Creative Expressions, (tickets) and the charms and flowers are from my stash.

Sorry I haven't been around for a while.
I was not very well a couple of weeks ago, then I went down to Kent and I have just got back from a long weekend away. I have now got to catch up with work but hopefully will have a few more things to show you soon.

Three (or more) little birds

Had a great weekend crafting with my sis while DB was away. So nice to get together and catch up.
We tried some brayering with limited success and made a few cards.

I can't show them all at the moment because some birthdays are coming up but I did make a quick one from the paper stack I was using.

This one is a Crafty Individuals stamp on Alla-Prima paper. Along with a flower and die cut it makes a nice simple card for any occasion.

Hope you like

Lost and Found...

Little late posting them, especially as I finished both my Layouts at the Eclectic Keepsake Crop this month.
Ann Freeman took the class and came up with these lovely papers from My Minds Eye, Lost and Found 2.
They really are fab and blingy and made it very easy to do some great layouts.
I am going to put these in my family tree album.

Checked out some of the local craft shops with my friend Becca, and am hoping to have a crafty weekend with my new purchases (well I can't make it to Ally Pally so needed some retail therapy).
Watch this space.

Have a good weekend

Another Birthday Bash

At my last meeting of the Swanley Scissor Sisters Club it was Jeans birthday bash. We have a great time, crafting, eating cake and trying out all the new crafty bits the birthday girl has received !

I made a decoupage fairy card from the Linda Ravenscroft Enchanted CD. These really are lovely but there is such a lot of cutting out !

Anyway as my fellow Scissor Sisters now expect I will also show you their cards...

The Same but Different

Have got a bit behind with the blogging, so going to try to get up to date in chronological order !

I made this card for my nieces 21st birthday. It is almost the same as the one I made for my daughter but in a different colour.

Look what I got !!!

Men eh ? Cant live with 'em , cant live without 'em.
My wonderful SO shows little interest in my crafting life apart from saying the right things in mostly the right places, but really exceeded himself last week.
His little hobby is browsing through a well known auction site, in particular an end of line site that is based near to where we live and it was there he saw something he thought I might like.....

I kid you not, this kit is the size of a small door, with hundreds and hundreds of bits and bobs, including 2 scrapbook albums, paper, brads and ribbons.

The man done good. Thank you darling.x
